Iassimi Room

Grandmother Iassimi.

A native of the island of Kos in the Peloponnese, then an Italian colony, she married a young Italian soldier she met there. With him she built a solid business and gave birth to four children.

Forced to comply with her husband's wish to return to Italy, Iassimi leaves her beloved Greece, her father, her mother and her entire family and arrives in Apulia during the Second World War.

He thus faces a future without certainty, which is difficult and at times sad, but he faces it all without ever giving up, with strength and immense tenacity.
